On Tuesday, July 10, the Lodi Fire Department was dispatched to the Armory with reports of a truck on fire. Upon arrival, command requested that dispatch retransmit to approaching companies a second message stating that the fire was actually on Route 80.

Hackensack Fire Department was first to arrive on the scene and finding a rolled over Ice Cream truck fully involved, they quickly extinguished the fire. First due Lodi companies stretched a safety line and assisted in cleanup.
