On February 5, 2006, the Lodi fire department was dispatched to 96 Prospect Ave for a reported fire around 11:00pm. Police officers were the first to arrive on scene first and reported a working fire in the attic of the home. The Lodi Chief arrived on scene and reported heavy fire in the attic area of a 2.5 story dwelling. Hose lines were advanced inside and firefighters encountered heavy fire. A second alarm was then transmitted and mutual aid was requested directly to the scene.
There were 3 injuries in total. 2 of the injuries were civilians and 1 Firefighter. One 4 yr old boy was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and an 8 yr old girl was treated and released. The Firefighter had a minor injury, was treated and released as well.
