At approximately 10:30 AM, the Lodi Fire Department was dispatched to Essex Street near Route 80 for a motor vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler and a van. Dispatch also mentioned a possible entrapment.

Once on scene, the Lodi Fire Department and Lodi EMS were able to stabilize the victim of the van while a safety line was stretched. Once the line was in place and charged, the trailer truck was moved back enough to free the victim, who was able to walk out of the van with help. Rochelle Park was also on the scene for assistance.
