Frank Corso is a lifelong resident of Lodi, NJ. He joined Fire Company 1 in February of 1948. He became an exempt fireman in 1955. Frank held many positions in Fire Company 1 such as Chief, President, Collector, Secretary, Trustee, Captain, Lieutenant, Fire Marshal, Chief Driver and served on various committees.
In addition to serving sixty years in the Lodi Fire Department, Frank served in the US Marine Corps. during World War II. He is a life member of the Knights of Columbus and has been an usher for the past 59 years at St. Frances de Sales Church. |
Other accomplishments include being chosen for Volunteer Of The Year in 1987 by the 38th District of Bergen County and being named Fireman of the Year by the 1987 Mayor and Council of Lodi.
Ex-Chief Bill Pickney said that "Frank is a fountain of information. When you ask him a question, if he does not have the answer he will get you one."

At present, Frank holds the office of Assistant Chaplain and Secretary of the Lodi Fire Department. Frank is also serving as the Fire Prevention Specialist in the Lodi Fire Prevention Bureau.
