maltese cross Auto and Pallet fire - Content Ave. - 11/3/2007

On Saturday, November 3, 2007, the Lodi Fire Department was dispatched on reports from a caller of flames on Content Avenue. Upon arrival, crews encountered van fully involved in fire that caused nearby wooden pallets of wood flooring and crates of floor tiles to ignite and burn. Engine 615 was first due with Third Assistant Chief Anthony Maiolo running command.

Truck / Rescue Company 1 made entry both inside and on the roof to check for extension. A container was next to fire filled with carpet padding and also received smoke damage. Members from Engine 612 overhauled and the fire was quickly put out.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
