A general alarm was transmitted for Charlton Avenue. A report of heavy smoke was transmitted by P.D. and confirmed by Command. Entry was forced into the one and a half story cape cod and the main seat of the fire was extinguished through the basement entrance with extension fires via the second floor and garage entrances.

Damage to the basement was severe yet contained. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
