maltese cross House Fire, 3 Clark Street - 09/02/06

On Saturday, September 2nd, a general alarm was transmitted at 3 Clark Street for a reported house fire. Upon investigation it was determined that the fire was located in the C side of the structure as per a firefighter on scene prior to the apparatus.

Command was quickly established and entry was made through the rear door. The hose team made a very aggressive attack to the rear bedroom. The extremely hot fire was beginning to rollover in a pre-flashover state with intense heat all the way to the floor. This was due to the small size of the room with its closed doors and windows upon entry.

Ventilation was provided horizontally through the rear window by the truck crew and a quick knockdown occurred.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
