On August 28 at 6:56 pm, the Lodi Fire Department was dispatched for an activated fire alarm at 16 North Woodside Avenue with reports of a fire from the caller.

Upon arrival, a smokey condition was seen from the exterior. The first team in was met with a heavy smoke condition in the basement. While performing a search, an occupant who was resisting evacuation was assisted out of the house.

Truck Company performed searches on the first an second floor as members of Hose Company 1 were able to locate the small fire and extinguish it.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
