On June 28, 2008, Lodi Rescue Truck Co. 1 will host a Wetdown for it's new 2007 Pierce Velocity 100’ Rear Mount Platform / 8 man cab. It will be held at Memorial Park in Lodi, behind the Borough Hall from Noon to 6:00 PM.

On February 23, 2008, the Lodi Fire Department held the annual Chief's dinner honoring Chief Bob Cassiello and his 3 assistant chiefs. The dinner was celebrated at the Venetian in Garfield and a wonderful time was had by all in attendance.
